Had a very uncomfortable, uncanny moment a couple of weeks ago. Just driving, nowhere special, doing nothing important.

Completely separate & distinct from my random thoughts & mind convos, a soft voice called “Nadine, Nadine, Nadine” like whispering in my ear.

tbf I’m still bothered

From Wikipedia:

Argiope appensa construct webs mainly in bushes, between branches, and in human constructions. The webs are rather large and show a white zig-zag silk decoration developed from one corner to the center of the web. These decorations, usually called stabilimenta, could be a warning device to prevent birds from inadvertently destroying the web.

Luuuuuuuuuunaaaaaa 💚

Few local creatures stop me in my tracks like this, just the sheer size and soft colors and markings. Like, welp, day instantly better.

While out with my class yesterday, I had to ask the kids to stay closer than usual and listen for the whistle… we saw one of the local coyotes far across the baseball field, watched it pass behind the diamond.
Leaving school, I came out to see the pair frolic right outside my classroom door.
