The cover of my book : natureβs acre: an Irish garden memoir of making a place where life grows.
I wrote a book called Natureβs Acre β an Irish garden memoir about wildlife, community, and making a place where life can grow.
If that sounds like your kind of book, Iβd love you to read it. And if youβd share this, Iβd be very grateful.

Aw, thank you! It's a variety of red poppy, which used to grow in my garden, but sadly they died out and I've not been able to find seeds for them since.
Thank you!
one of my spirit animals that I meet when I meditate is a Curlew with a broken beak that sits on my head. (I'm yet to understand the meaning of that).
Anyway, thoroughly enjoying Curlew Moon by Mary Colwell. 2/2
Having a quiet night reading gratuitously for the first time in ages. Picked a book I don't need to review or take notes on, but will find fascinating, as I am currently obsessed with Curlews. I didn't realise they were endangered, as there are always a few in the fields near here, and also 1/2
10 years ago, Mary Colwell started a 500 mile walk across Ireland & UK in support of Curlews.
"I liked something about the way Curlew lived in the world, sang to the world, and drifted through the world with a light touch."

Aw, thank you! I hope you like my future works just as much ππ«
Thank you π«
Oh wow, I am feeling the pressure of this question! I think he certainly should come top of the happy/character category, but most photogenic duck ever is a big call to make...
I hope your day gets better.
He looks so happy!
Thank you!
π€£Good to know. Good night!
π€£I had to look up OOMF and OG, but yes! And hugs! It means a lot to me, as I have had to disengage a lot lately, and feel I have let people down/disconnected.
This was the dominant language advice I had growing up. And yet, I was always marked with big red crosses, but no explanation.
Thank you too, friend π«
I may not always be here (as in online and responding) - but I am always here for you. π«And thank you for reassuring me! I often hit panic mode too quickly.
Doing little/nothing would be lovely! Unfortunately, I'm mostly dealing with old age in people and cats, so it's not going to be a happy ending - but for now, I just try to focus on the bright moments. (And keep on top of the washing, for when the cat goes incontinent again.)
Totally relate! π«But those little dramas can sometimes be big and upsetting, so don't belittle them. (Will be heading to bed soon as it's nearly 2am here and I have another hospital visit tomorrow. but you're not alone.)
but I really hope you're okay.
for publication, carving pumpkins to raise money for charity, 2 punctured tyres in one week... It just has been one thing after another, and except for hospital visits and vets, hopefully things should calm down now. But this is not about me at all! Sorry, I don't have DMs in this region
No specific one thing, it's been everything, from parents/cats/friends being seriously ill, to having bizarre jobs in interior decorating, accounts needing to be done for the library I volunteer for, helping stock a friend's shop, starting up a writing group, committing to writing some poems
I'm okay - been horrendously busy since August, so not been around much, but hoping things will quieten down now. But seriously - sending hugs and love to you.
Reaching out to you and hoping you're okay. π«
Well done!
Thank you!
Thank you, friend! π«
That looks handy! I hope it keeps you motivated!
