Maggie Gyllenhaal's THE BRIDE is just a *Bo Burnham voice* a whiiiiite womaaaaaaan. A white woman's Joker film.

HOPPERS is the weirdest, most unhinged, and unpredictable movies to come out of Pixar in years. But for Daniel Chong, this is just another Monday. Nevertheless, it's the best shock to the system the studio had to its system since TURNING RED.

Thank you
Rendy Reviews’ turned 14 this past week. I’ve been a film critic for 14 years! I’m so grateful for this job and the many doors it opened for me. But I need your support to keep running.
Honest film criticism is important in this dire time. If you can please subscribe to our pub today!
Wish I could time-travel to SXSW 2025 and experience NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE all over again. God, I haven’t been obsessed with something this Canadian since Scott Pilgrim.

GOAT: Man, I wished I liked this more. Tyree Dillihay’s directorial debut has bleating heart and stunning visuals, baaaaaaa-uuuuut lacks the innovation as past Sony Animation fare and the game to appeal to beyond the youngest of viewers.

Really enjoyed Amanda Kramer's BY DESIGN when I saw it at Sundance last year. Juliette Lewis body switches with a chair. No seriously. It's absurd, theatrical, esoteric and sturdy...like a chair.
Hits theaters Friday. Def check it out.

For the night crowd. Beautiful gowns. beautiful gowns.
The trailer is at least good!
WUTHERING HEIGHTS is Emerald Fennell's worst film to date. A completely soulless, messy, misinterpretation of the source in favor for a(n even more vanilla) FIFTY SHADES reskin for the "I Can Fix Him" audience.

SIRAT hits theaters in NY/LA this weekend. Possibly one of the most unforgettable cinematic experiences you'd find in a theater this weekend. Electric, exhilarating, and explosive. Wish this would've gotten a Dolby release.

they better play Avril's Keep Holdin On in the reboot.
Hahaha journalism is a joke and dying and it's scary how we're not speaking about how much we're emotionally hanging by a thread right now.
I caught up with LURKER writer/director Alex Russell following his DGA & Indie Spirit noms. In our convo, he discuss attuning to his director instincts during post, how feedback fixed a pivotal scene, and accidentally missing Nolan's DGA call. [Paywall]

GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN DON'T DIE: through a biting, twisted critique of the state of our digital age, Gore Verbinski returns to form like an old school boxer coming out of retirement, proving he still has the juice.

Ejae being a Grammys Winner and SM realizing their ex-trainee they shitted on accomplished something they never managed to?
Oh I’m loving it here LMAOOOOO. So happy for Ejae.
And fuck SM Entertainment ♥️
I think THE MOMENT is a real stroke of genius. Whatever water Charli xcx and Aidan Zamiri held during Brat’s impact and aftermath is spilled through this hilarious anti-commercialist metaphysical cathartic release.

The insane part is, it's not even fucking February yet.
Not to get religiously existential on main, but how does one even believe in a God when all he does is taketh the good ones and most talented who bring only joy and entertainment to this world but let the ones who wrought evil run free?
The fuck do you mean Canadian's queen of comedy just passed?! FUCK YOU GOD, you keep taking the wrong goddamn people.
Hollywood in Trump 2.0’s America is going great. 10/10. No notes.
SEND HELP or "How Sam Raimi Got his Hehe-Horror Groove" back is a demented return to form. Rachel McAdams and Dylan O'Brien are deliciously looney. Linda Liddle and Abigail from Triangle of Sadness would queen tf out.

Enjoyed Marvel's WONDER MAN, a buddy-comedy 'Birdman'. Was gobsmacked by the “second-gen Haitian pursuing the American Dream” rep, so this viscerally hit close to home. Albeit slightly underdeveloped it's by far the MCU's most ambitious entry in years.

Nah, you took the paycheck. Wear that shit on your IMDb page for the rest of your natural fuckin life.
Looked out my window and saw a mammoth, a bipedal sloth, a sabertooth tiger, and a baby trudging through the snow. It’s that brick outside yall.
MERCY, the awful Chris Pratt-led pro-AI and pro-cop wannabe MINORITY REPORT, is one of the worst screenlife films I've ever seen. We need to go back in time and prevent Timur Bekmambetov from discovering Skype.
