To wait 4 years after taking action to have a trial is an utter failure of the criminal justice system. At this point, the process of trial is punishment, whether or not defendants are found guilty.

A crown court trial in relation to the M25 gantry actions in 2022 was due to start today, but has been postponed until at least December 2026.
