There's an implication in some other quest this split is because of how the Amani army scattered at Alterac in the Troll Wars
which is cool, but that operates under the assumption of distance actually mattering which other questlines such as Arator's Journey and the Arcantina fervently shit on
cause that might explain say why Jan'alai wasn't there to give fire resistance buffs at Alterac - maybe the Zandalari brought some other Loa to bolster the Amani army who then got scorched away???

Nos but seriously the sheer lack of mention around a cultural trauma as towering as the Troll Wars inferno when dealing with a Loa of Fire and MAGIC is insane
unless Jan'alai was first born out of the ashes of the other Loa that died there
I think the key thing (that the zone sadly doesn't mention super clearly) is that the Loa *did* help against the elves... and it blew up massively.
It wasn't just trolls obliterated at the end of the Troll Wars, but the Loa called into help as well. I can't imagine they're keen on further attempts.
This is truly an amazing addon.

I think my ultimate favourite troll lore is from Shadows of the Horde (I have *some* issues with it, but not many) as it goes into politics and these societal dynamics so effortlessly. No wonder I tore through that book in days and re-read it again for Bluesky 😭💙 Also Vol'jin is the best troll

This item didn't exist until right now. The idea of them forging it to avoid "tainting his fathers sword with hate" is nonsense cause Felo'melorn was reforged specifically FOR revenge and then Kael used it to fight Arthas in Northrend. Where he lost it.
The guards in Dazar'alor and Boralus had super detailed and flavourful guide marker dialogue too. Shame they no longer do those
