Heheh… heh… (inner thought) I kinda liked how my design looked on him… (We see a metaphorical heart breaking, representing Frisk's reaction of MTT's criticism. While Asriel squeezes water off his apron-cape, Gerson and MK taunt him bringing up the photo Gerson took of Asriel's disguise back at his shop.) Gerson: That’s a shame Fluffybuns Junior, you looked great on that outfit MK: PFFsssj... Asriel: (Annoyed) Shut up (Mettaton suddenly turns at Asriel) Mettaton: Speaking of, I don't think we've been introduced yet, darling! Asriel: Oh…! A-asriel Dreemurr… pleased to meet the star of the Underground! Mettaton: Pleasure’s mine, Asriel darling! A friend of Frisk is a friend of mine! (Mettaton takes a moment to think) Mettaton: Hmm… “As-ri-el Dr-ee-murr”…? Actually, that name rings a bell… hold on a sec, Imma check my database. (Mettaton touches a button on his left ear and makes Windows Xp noises) Mettaton: Ah, why of course! Prince Asriel- DREEMURR (Mettaton stares in shock recognizing Asriel's identity. Frisk and Asriel sigh knowing they'll have to tell him the whole story all over again.) Asriel: n-nicetomeetcha! Frisk: Here we go again…

(We jump ahead near the end of the CORE, after Asriel and Frisk have explained the situation) (Mettaton is visualizing it, making a camera pose with his fingers in front of his eye) Mettaton: My LORD! The drama, the romance, the BLOODSHED! It has to be the greatest work of fiction I've ever heard, and it’s actually REAL! Asriel: W-why do you emphasize the bloodshed part…? Mettaton: And here I thought I was going to be the star on the surface! But once people find out this story… Oh my, darlings... I can assure you that ALL the spotlights will be pointing at you two! Frisk: Well I hope not. I still remember the last time I stepped onstage… (Frisk remembers them and Mettaton on the theatre musical show.) Frisk: By the way, now that you bring up the whole “underground star” thing… don’t you think you were a bit rough to your fans back there? Mettaton: …It was for their safety, darling. You of all people should know the dangers of the CORE. Frisk: Yeah, the ones YOU set up to kill ME. Mettaton: I, uh- w-well, let’s just not focus on THAT part…! (Mettaton looks down, sad) Mettaton: *sigh* I know it wasn’t ok to sneak Blooky and Shyren, but I needed help to pack the stuff at the stage! It's just that… the workers at the CORE are doing their best to keep it all running during this chaos… …But it’s got harder for them because of the modifications I made to the security system, and the musical equipment left around the place wasn't any less of a bother… I can’t help but feel responsible… However, Alphys and Asgore personally asked me to take charge of the crisis at Hotland, and that’s something I couldn’t decline either. I’m a star, which also means that I am an idol for the people. My influence is needed for these situations, and I’m willing to stain my image for my fans’ safety. But of course, that wasn’t enough to prevent their anger… I can’t blame them, though. Our kind has waited to see the sunlight for so long, it’s only natural that they’re desperate to leave this cave we call home. Gerson: “NEW home” to be precise. Thanks a lot, Suck-at-names Dreemurr… Still, even if the barrier’s gone, it doesn’t mean we’re any safer now. And having hundreds of monsters outside so soon would be overdo for a first step. As an old symbol of monsters myself, I know well we have some responsibility when it comes to guiding those that look up to us… Even if it’s tiresome at times… MK: HEY G ya remember when I used your hammer? could ya like actually teach me to use it please? is your silence a yes? But it’s fine, my reputation means nothing if it is for our people’s healthca- *CLONK* (Before Mettaton can finish the phrase, Gerson hits him throws his magnifying glass to his head.) Gerson: Don’tcha “darling” me like I’m some schoolgirl, ya glitter can! Mettaton: S-sorry, sir… (The kids stare bewildered at Gerson scolding Mettaton. They all continue their walk to the stage.) RED TEXT: “A symbol for monsters”, huh...? TO BE CONTINUED

Then, when you took the six human souls as Flowey… Asriel: I gained even more power than the first time… However, that only gave me control over the timeline. Instead of my original self, the DT of the souls turned me into… that thing… (Asriel remembers when he became Omega Flowey). Asriel: Right now, no matter how many human souls I take, they won’t keep my real form… Frisk: Which means that what made you go back being yourself was… Asriel: Yes… the souls of the monsters…

Asriel: You see the problem, right? We can’t get a monster soul… Not rightfully… Frisk: Yes. We can't just plain take it from somebody else. However, that doesn't mean it’s impossible to get one. Or something similar, at least… Asriel: …But it’s not even possible for us to take an actual monster soul, even from a common monster! The only ones that don’t instantly disintegrate are my family’s. And needless to say, We’re not killing anyone in order to get it. What exactly do you have in mind…? Frisk: Well… you could say it’s a “special” monster soul, since it doesn’t belong to anyone in particular… …And you should know about it. After all… you have it within you right now, don’t you…? Asriel starts getting nervous Asriel: I… I don’t know what you're talking about…

Frisk: Don’t lie, Asriel. There’s a reason you haven’t turned back to Flowey yet, and I know what it is. Please... show it to me. Asriel: (...) *sigh…* (Asriel avoids looking at Frisk, turning his back on them. he slowly raises his arm with his fist closed, whcih is It's emitting a dim light. Asriel opens his palm, and shows Frisk what appears to be a decomposed monster soul, linked to some kind of light strings and sparkles).

(We're back to the present time. Mettaton has joined the group, guiding Frisk and company through the CORE. Frisk and mettaton are having a chat, leading the way. Asriel walks behind Gerson and Monster Kid, still soaked from jumping to the Resort's fountain earlier.) (Gerson looks up with an annoyed face.) Gerson: Ugh, all these artificial lights are hurting my eyes... I swear, kids these days… they could use natural, glowing rocks whenever they wanted, but nooo… Their high tech’s “so much better”… (Gerson turns to look at Asriel, who's giving a grumpy look while water drips from his costume) Gerson: ...Heh, still not dry, boy? You look like a blanket left hanging on a rainy day Asriel: *Sigh* Great, now I’m starting to feel cold… Hey Frisk, is it fine to you if I just get rid of these clothes? (Frisk and mettaton turn around to look at Asriel.) Frisk: Well no one else is coming through the CORE, so you should be fine without disguise. Go ahead. Mettaton: Oh, is it a disguise?

The wild east and the steamworks were probably my favorite parts of the game. Even if i died like 11 times to Axis and had to activate easy mode to get through the fight the first time
