Just a reminder, Beyond the Woods is currently up on Kickstarter. I am proud to count myself as a member of the writing team on this beautifully realised TTRPG that is based on Irish Mythology. Some fantastic stretch goals we would love to hit on this one.

I've been a Trekkie since I was 12. I've watched every single episode of each series. It shaped my core beliefs about equality and empathy towards others. I breaks my brain when people who have watch the exact same show as me and claim to be as influenced yet they get call Discovery or SNW woke.
Yeah it's amazing when folks who claim to be fans of TOS try to raationalise their beliefs that they never tackled race.

If you are pushing the idea that the current run of Trek shows are not Trek then you need to look at your own values and try and figure out where your disconnect is not the shows, because Academy has the same Trek core as TOS. Trekkies felt the same way about TNG when it launched. Now it's adored
It doesn't matter what version of the show you hold dear they all tackled the hard truths of the world we live in and showed the viewership that a better world is possible. From Kirk to Ake every single Captain led a show that was inclusive and thoughtful. To think otherwise means you don't get it.
I see we are doing another round of people not understanding the core values of Trek. It baffles me that folks can watch a show that tackles inequality, racisim, facism and many more political and social topics and not realise that at it's fundimental roots Trek is for all.
