I've chosen not to buy games due to bad font choices, and I don't even have visual challenges. Accessibility isn't only for folks with disabilities.

I disagree tbh. You have to double localisation efforts for the fonts, which is less feasible for indie devs.

On the "New and trending" chart on Steam, Hellclock, The King is Watching and Wheel World are examples of stylised games that use mostly standard fonts. Doesn't not hurt their art direction

Indie devs I am begging you to use readable fonts anywhere a font is present anywhere in your game.

Completely understand desire to use a font that feels appropriately stylised for art direction, but some fonts genuinely hurt your players ability to play your game from accessibility perspective
