I hope the members of the Rules and Bylaws Committee for the DNC are open to a discussion about the Tar Heel State.
Our party *must* think long term. Putting North Carolina first isn’t just a 2 year strategy; it’s a 20 year strategy.
Lastly and most importantly: in 2028, North Carolina will have the LONGEST general election ballot in the *country* - with one of the only competitive red-to-blue Senate flips, 3 critical NC Supreme Court seats, Gubernatorial election, Congressional seats, and 22 statewide races.
Our job is to build sustained, not transactional, relationships with voters by providing consistent and localized opportunities to get involved with
professionalized county parties.
The NCDP is one of the few state parties that maintains a year-round organizing program - with a 7-person team embedded in communities across the state, responsible for consistent outreach not just during, but in-between election years.
