TFW you try to write 1000 words but you fail, so you turn into a hat-wearing rodent, and project yourself, with great sadness, above the mountains (even if there are no mountains near you).

Statement by President Connolly following strikes on Iran
president.ie/en/media-lib...
Representative Hakeem Jeffries, Democrat of New York, the House minority leader, said in a statement that Iran was a βbad actorβ that must be βaggressively confrontedβ for its human rights violations and nuclear ambitions, among other things. But he condemned Mr. Tump for failing to seek congressional approval for the strikes. The Trump administration, he wrote, must explain its rationale and justification for the strikes, define the national security objective and βarticulate a plan to avoid another costly, prolonged military quagmire in the Middle East.β
This is unacceptable from democratic leadership in Congress. They should be screaming NO WAR, not merely raising procedural objections. Cowardly, politically foolish failure to meet the moment.

Just started doing new data analysis and I know I keep saying this, but: I really, really don't think people appreciate how much this moral panic was a deliberate and extremely expensive invention.
this is so god damn funny
one of my biggest unity tips is Just Buy The Tool Dude. idc if it's $100 that's a drop in the bucket if you're doing commercial dev and if it works well it will save you so so so so much in the long run

This is a Nazi move. Stripping people of rights, invalidating their IDs, setting them up for criminalization and imprisonment.
If you don't support trans rights, you support fascism.
if I catch A SINGLE ONE OF YOU doing this to our trans friends in Kansas, I will fucking wreck you.
the politicians doing this to Kansas are evil. the people it is being done to deserve support and help and to not have to deal with your sadistic little jokes. grow a fucking soul.
it took an expensive, coordinated effort & a lot of people saying βthis doesnβt matterβ to get from a bathroom ban costing one state $400 million & a gubernatorial race to βtrans people must turn in their documents which become invalid in a few hours or face fines & potential jail timeβ in 10 years.

The reason we're here is that tens of millions of people will punch a hole in a wall if they hear someone used food stamps to buy soda but they're fine if the right-wing podcaster turned fbi director uses his taxpayer funded private jet to go party whenever he feels like it bsky.app/profile/thed...

Weird coincidence, I also saw it recently when someone streamed it. I thought it had some interesting moments, the thing with the ashes was cool, but that's about all the praise I have for it.
Again, I cannot emphasize enough: do not go to the US even if you're privileged enough to have never been scared or worried of a border crossing in you're life. Do not go ESPECIALLY for something as optional & outrageously expensive as GDC.
