First time I've ever actually checked an image to see if it is AI and had the synth id stuff work.

(Of course the fundamental problem with this tech is that you don't have to use an AI that creates a synth ID, but still cool)

Once the review of an entry is complete and any manual duty calculations completed (see paragraph 18 above), it takes an IS or ES approximately 5 minutes to process an individual refund, including amending, liquidating and certifying the refund for each entry. The refund processing for the 53,173,939 entries with IEEPA duties will require 4,431,161 man hours for CBP to complete.

At 5 minutes per refund, it will take 506 years of staff time to resolve this.

Here’s how Doug Ford’s ban on American booze in Ontario has impacted distilleries one year later It’s officially been one year since Ontario’s liquor aisles turned into the unlikely battlegrounds in a trade fight with the United States.

"More than 3,600 American-made alcohol products were pulled from LCBO shelves and taken off the menus at restaurants and bars across the province, marking an β€œenormous hit” to U.S. producers as Ontario said it had sold $965 million worth of their alcohol annually." www.cp24.com/local/toront...

Anyways this just reinforces my believe that soon the American economy will be entirely based on people moving money around and other people selling that first group either coffee or incredibly expensive trash

I have to imagine the massive cuts to Leisure & Hospitality are a result of Trump making everyone terrified to come to the US. Though maybe there is a seasonal component to it?

It upsets me more than it should that they've used an 8 in place of an A, E, and O throughout this video.

As is so often, we are trapped in a place we all dislike because decisions decades ago put us here and no one can agree on which direction is the best way out.

I feel like Daylight Saving is actually a perfect example of how policy can be hard.

No one likes the change, so the solution is to stop changing the clocks. The problem then is do you go with Standard time or Daylight Saving time. You have to agree on that if you are going to change the policy.

If you ignore people who say they β€œdon’t know” how they feel about the war, disapproval of Trump’s actions is already at 56%. That is higher than the resistance to Vietnam in 1971.

Federal workers sue over sting operations by political provocateur James O'Keefe Federal employees have been losing their jobs after sting operations engineered by political provocateur James O'Keefe. Now some of them are fighting back in court.

So James O'Keefe has been having people go on dates with low-level federal employees in order to get them on video saying bad things about Trump's administration so he can harass them and/or get them fired.
