"Labour urged to listen to progressive voters, or... "
at the risk of offering sound tactical advice to people i despise, this is actually not what Labour should be doing, in fact it is the opposite of what Labour should be doing
what they should be doing is ACTUALLY FUCKING BEING PROGRESSIVE
kier starmer watching labour go down in flames like the dog from the "this is fine" meme, but also darren johnson is popping his head around the door saying "mind if I join you"
hey if you signed the GWD and want to "go viral" I've got an idea for you
Tweet by Darren Johnson: This post is what they are not happy about. I knew at the time it would put my 37-year membership of the party in jeopardy but I was not going to sit back and stay silent while leading members of the Green Party went out of their way to trash the findings of the Cass Review. Quoted tweet by Darren Johnson in response to Zoe Garbett: "Vote Green if you want to completely ignore medical evidence and see more children pumped full of harmful drugs" Absolutely effing outrageous. Zoe Garbett's tweet: "There's no middle ground between respecting trans people's humanity and rejecting it" Following the Cass Review, Londoners can be confident that a vote for me is a vote for someone who has LGBTQIA+ people's backs.
This is a lie. He was expelled for being a transphobe.
How many of these were written by trans people?
that's after the flashback episode where one of the hybrid kids fondly recalls a family memory watching shrek
wait did they do one of these every year?
Horseshoe-theory horseshit. βThe journal that speaks for British millionairesβ is still speaking for British millionaires

Dear TERFs, being trans is a legally protected characteristic under UK law, as it should be. Please sod off with the miserable inner squalor you live in.
Good luck to @greenparty.org.uk and @zackpolanski.bsky.social dealing with these vapid ghouls.

"Including considering how force can be used against children"
imagine how morally *numb* you have to be to describe your plan like that and not instantly realise you have become a monster
there's a joke about "the peter principle" to be had here but I can't make it work
needs abolishing
Ms Mahmood told an event in Westminster on Thursday that the Home Office will launch a consultation on how to remove families with children legally, including considering how force can be used against children. If the pilot is successful, the government will extend it to all failed asylum seeker families.
straightforwardly, unambiguously evil shit
"I dread even saying this... but I think that we've ended up in the wrong place on trans, and we've done that by treading very self-consciously and not actually following our hearts, which is that trans people are on the margins, they are vulnerable. "If the Labour Party doesn't look after trans people, what are we about? "They're most likely to get beaten up. They're the ones who are most likely to have prejudice against them. We should not be indulging in anything that marginalises them even more."
Emily Thornberryβs words on Radio 4 in response to the Green win in Gorton and Denton.
This is why wins like this are so important, whatever you may think of the Greens (much like the immigration rebellion brewing).
I think its just a chance to point and laugh at [blue] Labour who are on the cusp of realising that they got this completely wrong, but will absolutely not change direction?
Is it so hard to understand that people that work in office spaces or directly with customers appreciate a society where everyone is valued and treated with respect, no matter where they came from, what is between their legs, their health or which consenting adults they sleep with?
Blue Labour represents the type of social conservative that is driven into an absolute frenzy by this public virtue signalling. Unfortunately for them - that frenzied Daily Mail attitude is also not even a great representative of most social conservatives, just a very vocal minority.
Corporations have recognised that this is a large demographic whose business they want, so they make sure their brand appeals to that demographic!
Social conservatives look at all the companies rolling out their Pride Logo for one month a year, and decided that their enemy was "Big Woke", but the drive to do this isn't really coming from socially progressive voters.
I think the misconception comes from the idea that civil servants and middle managers are doing diversity hiring and sensitivity training because that's what they believe in, when in fact at these levels it's either legally mandated or commercially expedient.
This is a Spectator article about the phenomenon if you want to get an idea what Blue Labour types mean when they speak of lanyards:
Maurice Glasman talks about the "lanyard class" which in his mind is the sort of "woke" middle managers who might implement such things as diversity hiring and sensitivity training.
I think the use of digits for position shorthand is fine and makes sense, although I don't see '11' very widely used? I guess because it can describe two completely different roles depending on whether they're left or right footed.
Isn't it the opposite?? Words for one to nine, figures for 10+. At least for the UK news outlets I read regularly.
