Is she dead? Or is she alive but kept captive in a New York apartment where she is provided with excellent care. At some point, the president will arrange for her release and return to her family.
I am not a fan of conspiracy theories, but this scenario just appeared in my mental landscape and seemed totally plausible. Please feel free to politely respond to this and satisfy my curiosity.

A month later there is still no evidence regarding the whereabouts and/or fate of this woman.
