Tour update: three to go. Tonight in Sumiswald, tomorrow in Winterthur, Monday in Germany somewhere. I'm tired but my belly is full of cheese and sausage and chocolate. As usual we've made lovely new friends, connected with lovely old friends, and made some great music.

It's not a bad life
Yesterday: Played another house concert, this time with Beth Wimmer and her partner Mike. They are amazing hosts. Stayed up late getting drunk and playing tunes with Mike. Met many beautiful people and felt a lot of love. Tonight is the 6th show of 12. Playing in Oberhofen.
Highlights of today; Stopped at the Rheinfall; it's still stunning. Played a house concert for 30 people which was nicer than playing last night in a mostly empty theater. Had delicious home cooked soup and other food that was NOT PASTA. Perfected the van packing system at last!

Let's just say that I'm very protective of Kevin on the road.
I left my keffiyeh in Bern. Free Palestine every day. Drove through E. France to get to Germany. Played at a little folk club to a very small audience. Sold a bunch of CDs though! R'n'R scripture - "There was no way they'd make even a half a tank of gas."

Drove to Bern and stopped at Coffee Coaching Club where everyone was very kind and we had amazing coffee. I walked around alone and bought postcards at a really cool artist collective - The Blackyard Shop. Then I went back to CCC to write them. They were playing Kevin's music at CCC. It was lovely.
Welp. I don't have any pics from tonight but the gig was OK. On the plus side, Eisenwerk is a cool little venue and our old friends Michael and Claudia showed up. On the minus side the sound was less than stellar. But we managed to improve it for the second set. I promise more pics tomorrow friends!
Today we had raclette and then took a walk into the town of Frauenfeld where we stopped at a local bar to drink local whiskey in the afternoon. Because that's what you do on the road. Also I taught Gigi how to play Cribbage so that was fun. She almost won! About to get dressed and head to show #1.

I'm on tour in Switzerland/ Germany for the next 2 weeks. I'll post my tour diary here, hopefully lots of little posts and pictures. I got through airport security in Detroit and I'm at my gate 3 hours early. Kevin and Gigi will be here soon I'm sure. I'm excited to play and sing for twelve nights!
