Biden was bad on trade and Bernie is much much worse. I worked on Capitol Hill and had trade in my portfolio and vividly remember Bernie using exactly the same rhetoric as Trump to try and kill TPP. Bernie and progressives are *awful* on trade despite the unions they pander to voting Trump
Yes. Bernie believes in bringing back mythical manufacturing jobs that have been placed by technology and cheap labor overseas. It’s a crazy economic approach that failed in 1929, and why he should never be anywhere near the White House.
As Trump’s tariffs absolutely destroy the stock market and economy, it’s important to remember that progressives have been the faction that opposes free trade and supports tariffs, that Bernie Sanders ran against trade in 2016, and it’s why AOC is quiet right now.
