Oh damn, I didnβt know about Da Yoopers Tourist Trap! And we drove through Ishpeming last summer too on our way to Marquette. My kids might have been perplexed as I told stories of listening to their tapes in the 90βs and seeing merch in the flesh. π
This is going to be so cool! Cannot wait. Thanks so much for doing all of this!
This is definitely worth the read and I cannot wait to go to Manciniβs.
We always stopped at the south side of the Mackinac bridge. So there was no way weβd stop again on the other. One year we did a tour of the fort and they fired a canon β that was cool!
Is the Mystery Spot still around? Iβve been over the bridge a couple of times in the last decade and I donβt recall seeing signs. On the other hand, I think more about visiting light houses these days. π
With a name like that though, Iβm sure thereβd be new mysteries with every visit.
How was it? Iβm sure I wouldnβt be impressed as an adult today. π
I drive by this exact sign at least once a year on road trip to the U.P. of Michigan until I was 13. We never stopped for a visit. π
Great article! Canβt wait to go there. Iβve been meaning to for years.
Great photo series! Definitely made me nostalgic. I was definitely stoked to find out thereβs one less than half an hour away from my folks in the U.P. of Michigan. Might have to drag my family to it this summer.
Oh damn, thatβs good!
Oh, ringer is definitely better. ππΌ
My youngest went off the college this year so Iβve had plenty of time to think of this. Iβm lucky I havenβt disassociated from my body, not that I havenβt tried.
Excellent revision.
Cool, looking forward to it. My neighbor's just took their respective mothers there Saturday. Between the two of them, they represent 170 years of grandma. I still haven't been there!
I wouldβve guessed younger! But it wasnβt until β88 when I was in 8th grade that I discovered it. #fuckitallandfuckingnoregrets
A tiny green wagon on a model green wagon on an actual green BMW wagon. These are my people.
The Germans are my people. I realize now, that I have to travel to there to get the wagon of my dreams and import it. 25 years and younger is the key. #WagonsOnWagonsOnWagons
Don't mind me, I'm just searching German car sites looking for a wagon with a stick because Americans can't have nice things.

Shoot, thanks though!
How does one buy said amazeballs shirt? Speaking for a friend (me).
I still need to wear my Sinister Minnesotan shirt! Iβve been rocking my Hammβs Abolish ICE tee when Iβve been wearing a tee
And theyβre still sold out! πππ
Agreed, but Iβm glad the kids are in good hands. My elementary school was unlocked, but todayβs schools you have to badge in when itβs not drop off or pick up and thatβs a good thing.

Iβve been happy with Sarah at Salon Gold in NE. Another plus? Only two blocks from Grumpyβs. www.salongoldmn.com
Wow, amazeballs.
My goodness, I forget that Sparky was born looking this old. He was only 50 when I first knew of him watching the Tigers back in β84!
When I was in Taipei the office rented space for weekly badminton and I was thoroughly crushed by elderly as they ran me all over the court. I have mad respect for the badmintonati.
Since it seems like mutual aid is part of our lives now, some Costco tips:
- Always just grab a flatbed. If you're not getting that much, spread it out and we boop it right on there.
- For the love of god, don't pre-box stuff.
- Group multiples clearly. We can key in the quantity and scan once
