Each session includes time for grounding and self-reflection in addition to group discussion of the materials.

January & February we’ll read Aubrey Gordon’s book, “What We Don’t Talk About When We Talk About Fat”, and learn how anti-fat bias harms not only fat people, but thin people as well.

Starting January 16 join me online Friday afternoons from 3-4:30pm Pacific Time for the Shared Stories Society. This program invites participants to explore under represented voices in public health. We will examine books, zines, and more across the year.

It turned out great!

The next session begins February 12 (Wednesday). Sessions are 90 minutes, from 1-2:30pm, Pacific time.

This low-cost, online workshop is offered through the Lifelong Learning program of Portland Parks and Recreation and is open to both Portland, Oregon, residents ($10) and non-residents ($14).

Thankfully fall risk is reduced by growing mindfulness, adding simple movement practices, & making safer choices in your home & community.
