Had no idea there was a two-part Watchmen animated film released last year. I watched both parts and haven’t been able to stop thinking about it ever since. Incredible storytelling with a gorgeous animation style.
Watched Chapters 1&2 of the animated Watchmen movies today and they're excellent! The voice acting is top notch but Titus Welliver really stole the show as Rorschach

I don’t think this is a new edit with both chapters combined into one movie. As of now, I have not overseen such an edit and I’m not aware of any plans for one.

Ok... so The Watchmen Animated is perfection. I have always loved the comic. I genuinely enjoyed Snyder's live action but the love & care in this animated 2 part version is gd brilliant. They captured Gibbons art style really well, the voice cast superb and the slight tweaks were additive.

This week, WB Home Entertainment wrapped their 2-part animated adaptation of WATCHMEN with CHAPTER II, now available on physical formats.
I found this portion executed better than the first & even found new things to appreciate about the tale.
Make sure you know how the film ends before reading.

Original 13x19” inks for one of THE BLACK FREIGHTER panels/sequence in the second Chapter of WB adaptation of Moore and Gibbons WATCHMEN. I drew the closeup of the survivor separately in an 11x17” so we get good details on screen. Movie is out now on digital/dvd/Blu-ray.

WATCHMEN is my favorite graphic novel, and I'm happy to report the new two-parter animated movie does a very good job of adapting it, animated well and impressively bringing in the extended story aspects (Black Freighter, chapter bookends) cohesively, and landing the end. Worth watching.
