Of course they picked the worst guy. Maybe should consider why "business" gets a lobby at all or wtf that even means. Why would an elected take a meeting with "business" if not already masking the transparency of outcome.

The O implicates permitting as the source of the problem, but appears to show permit functioning as intended and program improvement success. It highlights unintentionally the problem of owner/landlord-developers needing to restrict supply to keep resale/rents higher than increased supply allows.
Looks like folks have until March 18, 2026 at 5 pm to challenge the ballot title language or the constitutionality determination by filing a legal challenge in Multnomah County Circuit Court.
Wondering if anyone has read this yet?

Doesn't Oregon require citizen review and participation in each local budget? This would seem to put it outside that.
"It’s not entirely clear why PPA opted to join NOLC now, but Wimmer says she’s been talking to PPA’s president for years about it. She says it was probably her who most recently asked PPA to join as part of her recruiting efforts."

Noticing in procurement that the LPRs are attached to PBOT through a cooperative. Nice little trick to keep the PPB budget looking less bloated. I wonder if PBOT would have chose this as opposed to fixing some potholes?

And about the same as the 2026 PBOT budget shortfall.

At $300/ square foot that's about 74k square feet of potholes!

Has he ever "learned more" and been all "yeah, this is the business!"? It's just his cowardly way of delaying having to say no to a good thing and equating unknown with not good.
My friend will be missing 4 years tomorrow. Murdered Missing Indigenous People #MMIP is a movement to draw attention to our Indigenous relatives who often get overlooked. If you know anyone in Oregon who would like to help us rally.

Infinite recursion of Google messages "To: ai boiz" remix resolving in clippy at the far end. Text reads to "Go fuck yourselves. Do it today."
Google huffing it's own ai supply right out of its own ass.
Portland mayor Keith Wilson’s top priority in his homelessness response: increasing the number of congregate overnight-only shelters. Now, a Multnomah County report shows the local focus on new shelters may be eroding existing shelters’ ability to transition homeless Portlanders into housing.
Probably have to ask Hoan. What even is Portland Solutions other than Wheeler making sure his executive orders wouldn't expire with the new gov?
Both those agencies stink and need to go.
Why does the Business Alliance get their own super administrative dept that can just get them whatever they want by pitching "vibes"? How much revenue are each of those small businesses sending out of the city in rent?
He actually just sheds them for a fresh one like a discarded skin.
Getting rewarded with your own special city powers for being the only person that would work for Ted. This entire "solution" needs to be wiped out in the next budget.
Here's an article about it. Apparently it cost us a quarter million bucks.

Meanwhile, at least two out of four corners of any given intersection, any street when it's raining and most crosswalks.
Maybe he could try lighting Lombard or anything on the eastside.

Hey, NYC! You really gotta up yer game on tanking police morale!
That's not true?
I disagree. It provides context from the arestee's pov. And the majority of it is about the overhanded response including a councilor suggesting gun violence for something that's pretty normal in city hall. That's the job, people yell at you, there are procedures to deal with it obnoxious or not.
So what? They have the right to petition, agree with them or not. This article is more on the response and council threatening gun violence after what seems to be an overhanded police response.
New - A Portland activist delivered a petition with 19,000+ signatures demanding the city revoke the ICE permit. The city had her arrested. Days later, a councilor proposed allowing council members to openly carry firearms while conducting city business.
How the fuck is that gonna work in a crowded room?
Yeah, of course. Just wild the city is claiming (implying?) Cable Huston conducted an investigation and Cable Huston is saying they did not.
