I realize that our collective memory is shorter than a fruit fly's, but have we forgotten that in 1988 the u.s. shot down an Iranian civilian plane and killed hundreds of people?
Itβs definitely short-sighted!
Yes, there are a lot of reasons to oppose this highway!
I think that he must be dim.
I donβt get it. π€
What does that have to do with Doug Fordβs hare-brained musings of filling in part of Lake Ontario?

State health officials are pleading with residents to take the virus seriously.
Who are we sharing a power grid with? π€
π€
I dunno, I imagine that there are logistical and/or environmental concerns?
And also, why does everything need to be on the Lake??

βPaving Paradise: The Impact of Highway 413 on Greenhouse Gas Emissions, Air Pollution and Suburban Sprawlβ

β #Hwy413 would cost taxpayers at least $14 billion, pave over protected Greenbelt land and prime farmland, and fuel sprawl and pollution while doing little to ease congestion. It would make gridlock worse...β

Itβs the provincial govt job to dictate curriculum, so itβs not the issue β itβs about funding supports to deliver that curriculum, in addition to all the other services that students need, to be provided by schools.
Education is an essential social service, not a βbusiness.
The government of Ontario measures efficiency by βvalueβ for their dollar π° β I guess I think that parents, teachers, students, and the gov. are not on the same page.

I DEFINITELY do not want my, or my childβs, face all over social media.
Internet images are accessible to everyone, to do whatever they want with them. They're permanent.

Vice-chair Lucas Alves is worried that remov- ing "democratically elected voices" could lead to the sale of board real estate or land trans- fers.
For Martha Hradowy, president of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federa- tion, "it is deeply concerning that the gov- ernment continues to place school boards under supervision and appoint government insiders and private sector advisers instead of people who understand how public education actually works."
Certainly many of the school boards have not been as efficient/ effective as they should be, but these people have no backgrounds in education β I donβt see how these takeovers will improve the situation in schools.
More and more itβs looking like a βpower grabβ. π€¨
Same applies to #OntEd β I wonder if this is a universal issue in teaching. π€
