Almost didn't post this one because it felt both unfinished and resistant to finishing, weirdly. But I still liked it! I've had fun with these quick doodles, but maybe my next one will be back to watercolor. I have a hunger for experimenting.

Another scribbly pen doodle. Not entirely sure of what or why, but I was feeling particularly lonely before I drew it. The sort of odd loneliness while amongst friends, you know? I got to thinking, sometimes you just have to embrace yourself as a friend, too.

Sometimes, the words don't come but the images do. Sometimes, the images don't come but the words do. Sometimes it's neither; just a grasping feeling.

Small veins also surround it. Beneath the eye and box-like shape are numerous green tentacles reaching downward and curling around each other. There are four purplish wing-like appendages surrounding the tentacles, two on each side. One wing on the left, nearest the tentacles, has a hole through it. On the right side of the box-like structure is a dark shape attached to the structure, starting black where it meets the box, changing to fleshy pink and red as it drapes off one side with smaller black tendrils pointing down. At the top of the shattering box, several red branching structures reach upward from it.

I'd like to think of something clever for my first post. Maybe some quote or something. But no. Honestly, this whole prospect of sharing my art with a wider audience than just my little friend group terrifies me. And, well, I paint cosmic horrors.
