Thanks, Joel :-)
Two widescreen comic panels showing scenes from samurai in battle; the top one green and yellow spearmen fight red and brown swordsmen; the bottom one in a village, huts aflame, horses gallop through, a samurai in red and green swings his spear at a rifleman and swordsman.
Battle! From 'The Secret of the Samurai' (BDMust, 2020) #juliusChancer
Thank you :-) I had to look up Nadja - but, yes, could be! π
:-) Thanks!
Cover for a magazine called '5D' - a greywash head portrait of Marc Bolan with stars, flowers, planets, a swan and a nymph in his long hair, the tag-line is 'T-Rextacy at the Felbridge' (a T-Rex covers band).
Old work ... a cover I did for a local entertainments guide in 1993.
βοΈCOVER REVEALβοΈ for our graphic novel Wilomina: The Land of Dreams and Nightmares! @scholasticuk.bsky.
Weβve been working on it since 2023. Itβs been quite a journey. The idea was one of those lightning bolt moments.

I wrote about why comics are so popular for kids right now on Books for Topics www.booksfortopics.com/comic-creato...
Painting of a man carrying a staff and wearing robes and a hat approaching a well tended garden leading to a round door of a house built into a hill.
βIn a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit."
A small acrylic painting for a Patreon supporter. Quite a lovely hole in the ground really. I think the movie version of Bag End certainly had a lot of people going 'yeah I'd be happy to live there'.
Your feedback stayed on my mind so I've made a change - I've added the correct answer in the feedback text - thank you :-)
(I realise I did say 'learn' in my original post!)
Thanks - that's good feedback. That would be ideal, but I'm keeping it slim and quick - it's a tester rather than a teacher.
A cream-coloured card with a musical note on a stave and a large, faded treble clef in the background.
I made a little online music quiz to help my children learn to read music. It's still in play-test mode, does it work for you?

Wow - brilliant. I bought Blood Bowl when it first came out ... 1986? Fab photo :-)
Drawing of Julius Chancer walking and Lily Lawrence behind, turning to look back; black line drawing with solid red and half-tone red, inspired, I think, by those Chaland and Clerc comics of the 1980s.
What's black and white and red all over? This drawing.
I've only done small illo jobs so far - I'll be doing my first comics page from scratch on it next week, that'll be the test!
Can't answer your question (sorry) but I am going through the process of ditching Photoshop (after almost 30 years) for Affinity. Haven't fully explored it yet, but did my last two illo jobs fully in Affinity and they went ok. Still feels slightly alien and fiddly at the moment.
Photograph of the 17th Century Brambletye House ruins, three towers remain, the central one with a door at ground level, all in ruins, the east tower still has its cupola roof.
About a week ago the episode of the BBC's Secret Sussex featuring me talking about the Brambletye ruins was put online. I believe it will air on the radio sometime in February but you can listen to it now from the link at my blog:

Two panels from my Julius Chancer adventure comic, The Brambletye Box, both close-quarter views of occupants of cars speeding alongside each other and looking at each other; 1) Julius Chancer and Sir Alfred Catesby-Grey, looking somewhat perturbed, 2) a villainous looking group, two men in the front and a woman in a white suit and hat and holding a pistol in the back, smiling and grinning.
Happy new year :-) Lot's of challenges last year - hope for lots of good stuff for you in 2026.
A rather late reply - first time I've logged in for a while, but I very much appreciate your thoughts on this - thank you :-)
Ooh yes! I had a toy one with one of those zip-pull things so it shot across the floor :-)
I wasn't allowed to join my daughter's school class Facebook group as they thought my name sounded "American". I suspect because they identified Ewing with TV prog Dallas (actually it's a Scottish name).
I have a full checklist here: www.garenewing.co.uk/rainboworchi...
