The CEYC was supported by the National Youth (latterly & Children’s) Officer (before the post was made redundant) and by the Diocesan Youth Officer network for many years. It’s good to see some national resource finally supporting young adults at synod again.

Good to see that General Synod has finally reinstated the participation of young people. I worked alongside the later disbanded C of E Youth Council & saw their value at Synod both for the Church & the young ppl involved (many have continued to serve the church in various roles)

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a partridge in a pear tree. Ate it.

Yesterday I was honoured to be made an honorary canon of Gloucester Cathedral. The bishop described the role as an ambassador between the diocese & the cathedral.
I was touched that both former & current students came to support me along with my CGH team Alison & Nigel, Bp Humphrey & good friends.

There is authority in her account of this complex transition, borne out of her research and work as a university chaplain. Every page is thick with learning, yet it is carried lightly and it makes for a compelling read. I cannot speak too highly of it.
