A nice chicken dinner this evening; chicken breast braised/roasted in wine, stock and shallots with herby garlic mash, carrots, asparagus and a creamy chicken sauce made with the cooking wine/stock liquid. Wine Society Chinon to drink.

I rather agree with the government. If a government wins a majority in a general election, it has the legal right to govern until its term of office expires, so long as it has a majority in parliament. Allowing a public vote of no confidence would destroy the concept of parliamentary sovereignty.
