Woke was about the self-protection of Black communities and the awareness of plots to hurt us. The enemy co-opted it but that makes the definition even more stark - they coming to get you. Act accordingly.

We’re coming to the end of 2024 and I don’t know about you all, but I already have my goals for next year! Among them:

- build my community on new social media platforms
- being published in the Magic in the Melanin Anthology
- publishing my DnD-inspired standalone novel

I've been delving into non-fiction writing and writing articles, and I can't wait to show you guts what I've learned after getting some experience writing professionally for different clients.

SHORT STORY ELEVATOR PITCH

Tragedy breeds demons. Demons breed tragedy. The world is plagued by creatures that feed off of suffering. Most know the signs of a demon imposter by now, but when Em sees her village burning, she forgets. She forgets that demons set villages aflame, and that the child she finds alive and unharmed likely isn’t human at all.

But then… if demon children are only imposters…

…why does this one cry?

New idea for a dark fantasy novella now has an elevator pitch!

Using the Christmas vacation time to start a new short project. My first in a while 😅. But I like what I'm cooking up so far.

"Your future is a horror story written by your crimes," is such an absolute A+ literary line that you'd be forgiven for forgetting it comes from the Muppets.

I've never heard of this term before, but I love it 😂
