Dr. Shankar Dutt | Nanobiotechnologist Research Fellow at ANU pioneering AI-integrated point-of-care diagnostics using solid-state nanopore biosensors for early detection of neurodegenerative diseases and environmental contaminants.

Just launched my new personal website and I'm really happy with how it turned out 🌟

I work on AI-integrated nanopore biosensors at ANU to detect diseases like Alzheimer's from a simple blood sample.

If you're into biosensing, nanotech, or ML for diagnostics β€” come say hi:

We are a rich enough country to be funding 37% of all basic research proposals, not just considering "the best" 37% and then maybe only funding 12% in the end.

Check out our new paper in Carbon on flash laser heating of glassy carbon up to 35 GPa doi.org/10.1016/j.ca...

We mapped diamond formation pathways near the triple point and found a richness in microstructures that surprise us (the aligned graphite plates stole my heart -see pic)!

ANU physicists Prof @jodiebradby.bsky.social and A/Prof Bianca Haberl have developed a new method to make a rare form of silicon with remarkable properties.
It took a decade to get here: a lesson not to underrate the slow science.
