Astrology is and, always has been political. Especially when you also consider all the political attempts throughout history to regulate who can practice it, where and how.

Astrology has been historically employed by Emporers, Caliphs, Popes, kings, queens and presidents and the wealthy elite who buy political influence. Astrology has shaped politics for as long as humans have worked with it.

Further, astrology and other astral omens have always been consulted by “The State” to justify regime changes, to decide when to attack enemies, to anticipate climate calamities, influences upon crops, disease etc.

Astrology is and, always has been political. Especially when you also consider all the political attempts throughout history to regulate who can practice it, where and how.

Not saying I’m perfect at this. It truly is a practice. Just fascinated at how attuned our children’s nervous systems are to ours — and how this can translate into interpersonal interactions beyond the home and in the world.

At bedtime, my children might be fidgeting in bed as they try to relax and get cozy. But as soon as I slow my mind and deepen my breath, they instantly stop stirring and quickly go to sleep. I’m so grateful for the research around coregulation. What a superpower it is to remain calm in tense moments
