Repression almost never announces itself by targeting everyone at once. It begins quietly, aimed at minorities, those with less power, fewer allies, or voices that are easier to ignore. Their rights are restricted, their freedoms narrowed, and their suffering dismissed as exceptional or deserved.
Let’s call this what it is — a complete abuse of power. Donald Trump is using the Justice Department to target and intimidate those who speak out against him, and no one is safe.
