the uv autoproject addon that I'm using is:
spaghetmenot.gumroad.com/l/uvproject
by @spaghetmenot.bsky.social

both are amazing for level prototyping
AFAIK, every game can have a custom theme for their store page, so it seems to also extend to the payment when directly buying it from the game store page
Company that created the biggest and technically innovative gane engine, can't let a few of the engineers profile the gosh darn launcher. It feels like nothing is cached and all the textures are uncompressed. Even opening my game library is extremely slow.

updated my UE5 Runtime Interactive Tools Framework demo project to work w/ UE5.5 (see this blog: www.gradientspace.com/tutorials/20...). Thinking about turning my UE plugin into a standalone app...
Is there a reason someone is using DX10 instead of upgrading to DX11? Is it running on some old Windows Vista version?

The PlayStation can produce mind boggling effects (meme image of a lowfi green bird parachuting)
For 2025, I'm going to stop pretending these aren't mind-boggling effects
Just look at that little guy

an angry guy replying to my post on YouTube about how my next video is about generative AI, calling me a close minded boomer (before he knows my justification for my opinion)
I haven't even *published* my video on GenAI and I'm already getting these angry reply guys π

The final Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. The entire page is mostly white as they're in the winter snow. The pair is walking with a sledge, nicely duffled in in scarves, hats, gloves. Calvin delightedly exclaims 'wow, it really snowed las night! Isn't it wonderful?'. Hobbes follows up with 'Everything familiar has disappeared! The world looks brand-new!' -- A new year... a fresh, clean start!' adds Calvin. As they look over the landscape, Hobbes observes 'it's like having a big white sheet of paper to draw on!' -- 'A day full of possibilities!' Calvin affirms. They get ready on their sledge and Calvin tells his friend 'it's a magical world, Hobbes, ol' buddy... let's go exploring!', and the pair sledges off into the wintery landscape.
31 December 1995. Still the perfect goodbye.
People were talking about yellow paint in games again, and I got thoughts on that and the sorts of things you should do instead, so here's a blog post on that. Imo read my blog post and buy influx redux

kids need to have some space for their own imagination to be projected onto their toys. itβs not just about the AI, itβs about giving kids space to have agency over their own creative play β which is incredibly important for brain development. It appears she wanted to just play, not have a robot.

image demonstrating rules about axes, handedness, and direction of rotation in 3D space, where you can use your thumb as the axis, and the curl of your fingers as the positive rotation direction
handedness can be a little hard to wrap your head around - it's a very elusive concept as it's mostly perceptual/visual rather than being a property of the numbers/math itself
notably though, you can use it to figure out positive rotation directions, given an arbitrary axis!
To all #gamedevs who celebrate, happy Xmas.
Just be sure you are not set to negative Ymas forward, and your Zmas is orientated correctly before exporting your Box001ingday.
Just released a new video, a simple explanation of what an "Allocator" is in programming!

Some pretty major #GodotEngine physics related announcements, with Jolt Physics now being built in AND becoming the new default (eventually).
As you can see from the video, Jolt is a pretty huge upgrade.

All this app needs to do is display 200 characters of locally stored text. How can this operation possibly fail at the loading stage. Why do people program like this.
The OS terminal/console is very consistent, but not very user friendly.
The latest UE5 update looks so good.
Just kidding. This is #Godot

P.S. don't buy cheap TP-Link routers. They are cheap, but very frustrating to work with.
I remember thst we were stuck with the default password of the router and we had to restart it multiple times per day on some occasions, because it would stop working randomly
6/6E should be good for most people.
Streaming to my Steam Deck was not great on Wifi 5, but on Wifi 6 or 6E (I don't remember which one I got) is a lot better.
Wifi 6E has a bigger frequency band, so it's good if you have a lot of Wifi signal interference from your neighbors
