The image features the 115th page of Little Runt. On this page, the scene shows an evening thunderstorm rolling in, stretching over the rural Canadian prairie around them. It's just starting to rain, and the sunset glows underneath the dark, dramatic clouds. in the first panel, Young Shadow clings to his Dad's leg after he's gotten into his 80s tan-colored truck, pleading with him, "Don't go, Dad! Don't leave! i-" Suddenly he's interrupted, as it cuts to panel two and Shadow's Dad, Don, is looking down at the viewer with an expression of anger and offense, his face framed by dramatic orange light, his open maw baring his teeth as he screams, "GET OFF ME YA LITTLE RUNT!" In the third panel, little Shadow is flung from the vehicle as his Dad kicks him away, yelping with pain, "Nngh!" In the fourth and final panel, Don slams the door on his truck shut, starting the engine. Shadow is in the foreground, grimacing in pain with one arm outstretched and the other clinging to some grass next to his head.
