Gotta give the .5 or .38 a go. Most G2s on the shelf are .7 which I agree is a little too thick
Uniballs and the Sharpies are good too
Pilot G2 .38 forever
I truly do not think it’s copium to say that this is not the behavior of people confident they will win. yes, it’s the behavior of people who solve every problem with violence, who are confident about their right to violence, but they don’t have the public this time. they’re gonna lose
this is obviously a lie and should be included in future impeachment charges. if it were legitimately true, a supermajority of congress would have authorized war and every member knows it
The authority that Trump has asserted in taking America to war against Iran is, like many of his other power grabs, an expression of the very tyranny the Framers were seeking to prevent. “Kings had always been involving and impoverishing their people in wars, pretending generally, if not always, that the good of the people was the object,” a young congressman named Abraham Lincoln wrote in 1848. This was “understood to be the most oppressive of all Kingly oppressions and they resolved to so frame the Constitution that no one man should hold the power of bringing this oppression upon us.” This quote, incidentally, is immortalized on the House’s website, if any members of Congress are looking for it.
The design of the Constitution divided warmaking authority between Congress and the executive to prevent a president to take the country to war by themselves for any petty or self-serving reason. You know, like a king would. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...
checking in on a guy in my founder-sphere who started insane-posting about Dubai in a very definitely "I'm not getting paid to say this" way last year and... yup that tracks
Paul DID leave before the theme song ended but don't worry he came back
Libbing tf out right now. I needed this today.
Good thread, not just on Bluesky-reactionaries but on the broader shape of human perspectives on LLMs today
Until December of last year I was using LLMs as fancy autocomplete for coding. It was nice for scaffolding out boilerplate, or giving me a gut check on some things, or banging out some boring routine stuff.
In the past two months Claude has written about 99% of my code. Things are changing. Fast
we are going to win
Here are 4 districts the TX GOP gerrymandered to gain seats in November, with the Dem and GOP primary vote. Dems outvoted GOPs in every one of them.
Wow, the Dem primary turnout among Hispanic voters in Texas is going to be giving the GOP sweats for the next 8 months.
Take Zapata County - turnout in the Dem primary there yesterday was 143% the total number of votes Harris won in the 2024 general election. That's wild.
We love a dummymander, dont we folks
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said in a news conference that her office is already looking into 17 cases, including one where Border Patrol official Greg Bovino threw a smoke canister at protesters on Jan. 21. https://to.pbs.org/4lfQrLK
we appear to have four competing fascist movements jockeying for control: blood & soil nazism under miller and hegseth, darwinian ecofascism from rfk, technofascism under vance and musk, and one Big Wet Hitler who understands the true animating core of the american volk is a deep love for shopping
LFG
Let's do it!
How do people seriously believe this fairy tale crap - I mean for reals?
Doubly crazy because not only is Iran a war of choice—one that doesn't happen if the 2024 election goes the other way—but also the reason things got here is Trump chose to renege on the JCPOA in 2018.
This isn't the inevitable march of history. It's the election and foreign policy of one guy.

I believe, morally and practically, that a representative single state is probably preferable to two neighboring ethnostates... but I also believe the peoples of that region have a right to self-determine their governance! Easy!
A lot of people epically failed to accept the basic reality that the 2024 election was an election with huge moral stakes and a clear right and wrong answer (for a wide range of reasons). They now are twisting themselves into knots to protect themselves from accepting that moral failing.
JFC i'm talking to some people who are like, "i don't know man, i'm not convinced kamala wouldn't be bombing iran, too." are you some kind of asshole?
Oh shit I missed that one!
