One game mode I LOVED and really miss was Modern Warfare 2019's gunfight.
MW19's pacing just worked so well for that style of round based adaptation.
In general I love the equal start, lane based map, short round based style of game modes. Halo 5's breakout was really good too.

I stopped bothering with twitter long ago. Now I just use it as a place to go "Hey I posted a video" or "Hey I'm streaming."
All my actual conversations are posted over here. Even with less engagement, said engagement is A LOT more meaningful.

COD didn't start as a movement shooter and it never should have become one.
Modern Warfare 2019 wasn't "too slow." You're just too impatient now. Modern COD has been ruined by its own players complaining every time the game slows down even a little. We're back to exosuit movement and slow ttk. Cod is dead.
Unfortunately I don't care for milsilm type games.
If they wanted to release black ops 2 every other year for the past decade I'd be 100% fine with that.
I put an unreasonable amount of time into Ironsight and that was just a black ops 2 clone.
Same applies to the old halos.
Good games won't get old. Recent cods/halos just haven't been good.
Closest we got to the old MP FPS I liked are all the milsim games but I don't like those either. (Also I detest the military vibe and aesthetic) I liked the arcade "milsim" hybrids like Rainbow six vegas or Red Orchestra which is a very different thing.
Modern day multiplayer FPS really does suck. Ramble too long for bluesky so have screenshot.

The argument that "realistic graphics age poorly and will look bad 10 years from now" really annoys me. It hasn't been true since the PS2 era.
Games that tried to look realistic in the mid-late 2000s still look good in 2026. They will continue to still look good in 2036.
