there is an option in the settings menu on bluesky to generate an app password, which is for non-bluesky apps

app passwords are a bsky feature to allow you to give other apps limited access to your account while they work on implementing oauth properly

tpot is a group of extremely online people whose primary defense mechanism is being too confusing to attack
every so often I remember when she offered to pay rats ~1k for their souls & some people took her up on it
went over to what's hot & immediately saw several absolutely terrible posts

unfollowing gets rid of most of it, but blocking is good for hiding qt dunks, annoying replies, & malicious users
there are an infinite number of posts you can read, blocking is about filtering the worst ones out
think in terms of signal/noise & in terms of moderating communities - there are people who make your bsky experience more informative, more fun, more interesting, & those who do the opposite
