I put together a review of Tenchu: Stealth Assassins on the PS1. Hopefully this is ok to share with the rules here, and I don't end up disappearing forever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXfE...
I think I have game development nailed. I have a great idea that's almost impossible to explain, there's a bunch of stuff I have to figure out in the middle, and I already know the song I want to use for the ending. I'm basically a pro at this now.
It's not a bug, it's a feature!
I'm still just farming parsnips.
I'm pretty sure you get points just for trying.
Thank you!
My game is going to take a while and it's 100% solo but I'd love to join to meet other devs!
Excessive, borderline dangerous amounts of caffeine.
There's an old proverb I remember at times like that: βFall down seven times, stand up eight.β
If we're honest, most Day 1 sequels could just be "A Slightly Less Quiet Place"
I find it therapeutic to only refer to Netanyahu as "Bibi".
Bibi has been charged with war crimes.
"Do you wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not?" is all that comes to mind.
Not trying to flex on you, but I have 8 followers now and only 7 of them are family.
Stardew Valley Lies #112: I keep putting parsnips in my mailbox and all I've ever gotten was an angry sticky note from my mailman.
This is the dream for all of us with a giant box of cords from ages gone by we refuse to let go.
It's never a bad idea :)
Some of us are just here for cat photos and Stardew Valley memes.
Mood: When the coffee is just right and the code works the first time.
jinx - /jiNGks/ - noun. A person or thing that brings bad luck. Example: "Laimu said 'Two builds in a row my computer has booted with everything working as intended and everything detected correctly'"
I'm entirely biased, but I also think it was the generation where we were pushing the most boundaries in gaming and storytelling - partly because of hardware, and partly because nobody told us we couldn't.
I want to make the joke "lower your expectations" but honestly it's been pretty good for me so far. I would suggest you just curate your feed early, to weed out any potential nonsense.
I have a project working in RPG Maker now, and I started using it way back in high school (20 years ago). Some things are just good and stay good.
I felt like to be truly authentic, there needed to be disorganized cables in the back, and a dark smudge on the monitor from that stupid energy sticker you tried to get off but never fully removed.
I personally think there's room for honoring something in between these two. A lot of the great game mechanics and other elements from older games have become the norm, but as long as you're treating those things with respect and trying to bring something new to the party, you're in a good place.
Bold of you to assume I didn't want this.
Pixel art is still a major work in progress for me, but remembering how huge our computers used to be sure isn't.
Suddenly my username here feels more appropriate than ever
I guess I just expected more of a reaction from my waitress when I said "He who controls the spice controls the universe" about my egg 'n bacon skillet.
Rage quitting and throwing your controller is considered acceptable behavior sometimes, but probably not when you're the one making the game.
