I can see this being a future for theatrical entertainment. It’s accessible, you could charge ticketing fees, it’s DRM protected. Everything you would need to make it sustainable.
I’ve been saying this for a while, but exclusive experiences like the one Fortnite is running right now where you can log in and watch proper Star Wars television episodes in-game are what it will take to make the platform the true Metaverse.

To be fair Iron Gold is a MAJOR tonal shift from the first three, which feel like “young adult’s first introduction to space politics”. It makes sense to me that people start it and don’t finish the series.

The first book is BY FAR the most formulaic. If you’re expecting Hunger Games/Maze Runner/Divergent out of the rest of the series, don’t. Book 2 takes a hard left turn into space politics and opera. It’s great

This is a really baffling take. What was that first episode if not exactly what a pilot episode should be?
Introduced us to the cast, established the core conflict of the show, provided the call to action, and generally set the events of the series in motion.
Quality aside, is that not a pilot?
