I went with my husband to the shopping mall to buy new black shoes, mostly for work (my other ones fell apart). Got shoes. Got a blouse and skirt. Got two new purses (one a work bag, really)... I feel well-cared for. It's okay to buy things that we need AND SOMETIMES things that we want.

Never in a million years did I ever fathom when I resurrected the Epstein story in 2018 that it would lead to first arrest of a British Royal in four centuries. Not since King Charles I was arrested in 1647.

A drawing idea for literature teachers: I have my students draw stick-figure plot lines for the major works that we read. I tell them the number of images & captions (I give them 18 empty boxes to fill). Selecting important moments & sequencing them properly really helps them to understand the text.
