We have an accessibility statement as well that tells what we have done and has contact info and encourages anyone who has accessibilty issues to contact us.
👋 I’m really enjoying Bluesky and it good to see the WordPressers coming in.
Maybe next year you can do a little more for them and their site continues to improve. It’s progressing so much better than MANY of the other sites you see in the wild. We are in a similar situation as you and so this is my attitude for how and why we continue a11y work at this level.
However I don’t think that means you stop what you are doing. “Progress, not perfection”. If you didn’t do the work you are doing for your clients then look at the number of users each site has and remember that you helped that client make their site more accessible than it was. (2)
I think the higher audits and remediation are deservedly expensive because of the details. One of my colleagues here in Phx has a certification and he showed me his process for remediation and it is INTENSE. Larger businesses and those facing legal issues are the ones that can and will pay (1)
