On the morrow
I see no benefit in disclosing such information. "I'm leaving this review voluntarily" βmost reviews are voluntarily regardless of how or if the book was purchased. When and to what effect did this disclosure become standard?
Maybe it's uncouth but if I review a book received as an ARC, I'm not inclined to disclose that I received it as an ARC. I feel all that does is encourage a reader to assume I'm saying what I am because I received the book for free. I'd rather a reader just take my review at face-value.
Now when did y'all get N&Ls

I imagine @traumbooks.bsky.social wouldn't mind sending you an epub of EUSECT if you're interested in a horror collection.
I'll send you a copy of my first novella as well if you DM me an address to send it. It is a queer social horror:

I've been saying this
"Will antis be mad if I read your book?"
"I dunnoβthere's necrophilia in it so do with that what you will."
Tumblr post by user "hranmere": This is insane what is happening in Kansas. They justβtook away an entire populationβs valid IDs. With a stroke of a pen. No grace period. No chance for anyone to get their IDs βfixedβ in time, not that they should have had to in the first place. They even made it illegal for people to drive themselves to the DMV to get a new ID. Thatβs insane yβall. That is dystopian level madness. It is petty and cruel and literally dehumanizing. They have also invalidated their birth certificates, thus jeopardizing their ability to prove citizenship and vote. Itβs voter suppression on top of everything else. They wanted to make an entire population into criminals with a stroke of a pen and thatβs what they did. And the rest of the country justβ¦ hasnβt noticed. No one cares. Thereβs no headlines. Nothing on the news. Because itβs Kansas. Because itβs trans people. But if it can happen somewhere in this country, it can happen anywhere. And if it can happen to trans people, it can happen to you.
a post on tumblr that i saw regarding the situation in Kansas.
it's quite poignant.
It's rare an author gets a review by someone who goes through and puts down their thoughts on nearly every piece. Thanks for that Bez, and thanks for the kind words :)

hereβs my review of Wake Up!, a novella many of you would really love, I think
I kinda like it because it places furry as opposed to "normal" and maintains an inherent weirdness the subculture should foster

A review by C.L. Methvin of "The King in Yellow" a novel by Robert W. Chambers. Full review accessible here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/8250919825?book_show_action=false
Recently read The King in Yellow. Weird, but ultimately disappointing, increasingly so with each story past the second. Regrettably I do not recommend
A review by C.L. Methvin of "Black Hole Science is Filled with Apologies," a collection of poetry by Never Angeline North. Full review accessible here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/8350621176?book_show_action=false
Recently read "Black Hole Science is Filled with Apologies" by @never.horse. While, admittedly, poetry is hit or miss for me, I found it a strong collection with stunning descriptions among many of the pieces. Fans of poetry, surrealism, and themes of gender/identity, this book is calling to you πππ
A review by C.L. Methvin of "Wake Up!" a novel by Ryszard Merey. Full review accessible here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show/8251455815?book_show_action=false
Recently read Wake Up! by Merey of @traumbooks.bsky.social and found it a special contemporary disaster melding slice-of-life and the fantastical while still grounding relationships and queerness as focus
Recently read Slaughterhouse-Five and adored it
