Sounds delightful
I can't wrap my head around seeking out random arguments. I argue enough in "real life" that I'd rather avoid it here if I can.
(Not to say I won't give it if necessary)
My chosen last name has at least three origins:
1) a Zen koan, "Does a dog have Buddha-nature? Mu."βa directive to stop asking malformed questions.
2) Douglas Hofstadter's MU puzzle from GEBβparadox about impossible formal transformation
3) a stats joke, cuz I'm a geek.
Emily in all its forms is timeless.
Thanks. I'm glad they still offer that. I guess I'd misunderstood, but I thought they were now straight-up denying transfers for cash fares.
Idiots. Block and ignore.
The silver lining of broken trade deals.
We are gutless as a society not to call this out. This is as self-evidently socially damaging a technology as I can remember being introduced.

Radiohead - Street Spirit
Closing track from The Bends. Beautiful song.

This is interesting. I thought BT had eliminated transfers altogether. Was this to accommodate a service interruption?

"It's a logical possibility"
I'm terrified about what these are going to mean for schools.
I'm angry that people were so short-sighted and petty. This was predictable to anyone who was paying attention.
This is dreadful.
She's trying to be invisible, just like every other middle schooler. :)
#AwesomeCharacters
For most of the book, we see Maren in middle school armor: jeans and an oversized hoodie, hood up.
Over the course of the book, we see her take some baby step expressive risks, like lowering her hood and swapping her hoodie for a zipper sweater.

#AwesomeCharacters
I don't have art of my charactersβyet! Hopefully I can partner with an artist. :)
Maren is twelve. She's short, a little plump, and reads young for her age.
She has a round head, a slight olive complexion, messy brown hair to her neck, and thick black plastic glasses. 1/2
I liked the look and feel. Also, K and I watched it when we were dating, so it's couples nostalgic.
Can I remember any of the episodes? Nah. In one eye and out the other.
Am I excited for a reboot? Even aside from other issues, no. Let it die.
War wins wars. People win peace.

Idiots
This is great. I've thought seriously about PV for my house in Brantford, but worry about the perpetual overcast there.
I finally decided to stop pretending I'm a telephone, so I guess I'm in my descript era.
I'm imagining a diptych of both of Clift's "profiles," intact and reconstructed.
Tragic story.
It's all a circle.
Jokes aside, I was just reading about his philosophy of music and, wow, is it ever exactly aligned with the ethos of my book: music as ecstatic, communal, intuitive, culturally hybrid, and playful practice.
Well now I'm thinking I damn well should have. Holy.
I can see why. It's like a jazz album filtered through a grand circle tour of world sounds.
I heard a distinct Peruvian vibe for one track.
