Doing some research for the next podcast and this current episode has a perfect example of TV people knowing fuck all about trains!

At the moment it’s because they haven’t published the full synopsis of the Christmas special with a cast list and every detail of the shooting schedule. I know people are eager for news but it’ll come when it’s ready. In the meantime, relax!

I hate to break this to you…

Four nephews and they’ve never questioned or anything. It’s just part of the the family. They played a part on our wedding day and they loved being involved. More recently the eldest dumped some friends for what sounded like homophobia. So there’s a lot of hope out there too!

Out and about in Derby today with husband and the EMR gang. Good times out out and a restrained post drink shop in Tesco too. We’re maturing clearly

And I was about to watch it as a result of that!

The best thing about Sunderland is leaving it and going back to Newcastle

Back into 90s Trek and it was The Siege of AR-558. Blimey it still packs a punch and some standout performances and moments. Also proof that Sisko is quite ruthless as a tactical commander.

Impressive for an episode that takes place almost entirely in stock cave set number 8

On the most recent recording we briefly discuss the direction style of Pennant Roberts and decided he gets far too much stick and not enough credit, especially his eye for casting

It’s the most forgettable theme tune they’ve used. It has one level. And it’s a bland one

Remember that being shown on BBC 2 in the early 90s and being very unsettled by the destruction of the Yamato. That frozen image of Varley on the view screen just before the exploiting I found quite haunting

As in it might exist. It’s not in the DVD photo gallery but neither is the colour photo I have here

Still trying to see if the same photo is out there but today’s spot is the photo of Steed sunbathing in The Avengers episode The Nutshell is a publicity photo from the season 2 episode The Removal Men (the clue is in the towel)

I guess in production terms the effect on film might have been produced ahead of the episode 1 studio recording and the “as live” zap effect

Having an idea for a podcast/YouTube channel crossover. A short look at some missing episode recoveries, at least ones I find interesting.

And they’re aren’t Doctor blooming Who!

Cartier directs an empty set with a lot of creativity and the performances are superb. Jospeh Furst deserves to be better remembered than just Professor Zaroff
