So proud that Kristen Thorne in my group won an award for best poster at the CAZyme GRC today!! #glycotime
Enjoyed a tour of the #UGA Georgia Electron Microscopy facility to see the new #Sigray x-ray microscope that me and a group of PIs acquired through the support of #NSF MRI
Weβre ready to look at plant cell walls! π§ͺ
Had a wonderful evening celebrating my friend and colleague Robin Buellβs election into the National Academy of Sciences! So proud to be part of UGAs plant science community. π
Really excited to have this new capability at UGA thanks to the support of the NSF! The Eclipse XRM-910 Micro-CT from Sigray Inc., will allow us to create 3D models of plant tissues from a series of 2D X-ray images, preserving the original sample. #plantbio #glycotime π§ͺ
Celebrating 2 new PhD candidates in the Plant Biopolymers Group this week. Congrats to Zeina and Charlie!!!
We are still accepting applications to attend the GRC on CAZymes for Glycan Conversions. This year's theme is βUnlocking CAZyme Interfacesβ. This is one of my favorite meetings and I am excited to be the vice co-chair elect this year. #glycotime #biochemistry π§ͺ

Itβs not just about this or that nameserver or browser, or how long itβs down, or if itβs intermittent (though those things are important, especially to clinicians and their patients); itβs this: βWhat if NCBI is not a permanent repository?β π§ͺ π§¬
Had a great time hosting @ArielOrellana this week for a wonderful visit! Lots of cool work going on with NDP-sugars in plants.
