Never too late to go get one....
*Makary (oops; very long day!)
(And really it was Laura Loomer who'd been behind the first firing; Makary, Prasad's boss at FDA, likes him.)
OMG, I hope it sticks this time!
Prasad is the devil. Markay fired him from the FDA in July, but he immediately came back like a fungus. Let's hope he's really gone, this time. Wowza.
(He claimed without evidence that the covid vax killed kids, btw.)

Yes, and cats help, too, apparently. But we already knew that, right?

What evidence do you have that it's Israel? Everyone save Iran seems to be stating that it's Iran.

Mind the ice; it's very slippy. Maybe just shriek into a pillow.
As AG, Merrick Garland prohibited DoJ political appointees from attending any partisan political or fundraising event (even those of family members). Bondi just rescinded that policy, b/c her DoJ is just for her own party, not for all of us.

God told *me* he doesn't know the guy....
That worm Gonzalas is quoted in the WaPo as saying of his coercive affair, "I've asked God to forgive me - which he has -...."
Rallying cry of corrupt conservative Christian politicians since forever (or in my memory, since Falwell's "moral majority"): "God is on my side, b/c I say he is, so you must be too, unless you disagree with God."
So frustrating that it still sells so well.

NYT update: "Senator Markwayne Mullin just arrived in a car for Senate votes. He said he had talked to President Trump before the statement went out on social media. 'Weβre going to get on the same page, and do what things what we need to do,' he said."
What the what, now?
Unfortunately, there are lots of women who believe this stuff, too.
4/πΉοΈ"Both genders felt women had more choice in dating and relationships (22%), household roles (24%) and the clothes they can wear (34%), while men were considered to have more choice in hobbies (18%) and jobs (39%)."
I have so many questions.
Study linked in here: www.kcl.ac.uk/news/almost-...
3/πΉοΈ30% "believed men should not say 'I love you' to their friends, compared with 20% of baby boomer men and 21% of gen Z women."
πΉοΈ21% said "men who took part in caregiving for children were less masculine than those who did not, compared with 8% of baby boomer men and 14% of gen Z females." ...

πΉοΈ21% said "a 'real woman' should never initiate sex, compared with only 7% of baby boomer men."
πΉοΈ59% "said men were expected to do too much to support equality, compared with 45% of baby boomer men. For women, the proportions were 41% and 30% respectively." ...
π§΅Very alarming 29-country survey - though I want to see country-specific results, because cultural attitudes can vary enormously across societies.
Fun findings:

ONE DOWN.
Now Bondi - please, universe.

2/ I usually don't add it in cooking and I generally make my own soup, so when I have canned soup, it tastes like I'm licking a salt shaker. (OTOH, family members often are not fans of my soups, because they find them bland.)
Absolutely.
I had a friend in high school whose family swore off sugar, & she'd cringe when we drank soda b/c her taste buds had changed so much - she said she noticed it after a month of no added sugar, when she was offered a Pepsi (which she'd previously liked).
Where I notice it is with salt -
Yeah, I asked Google for the items with more than 100 g. of sugar, and a non-inclusive list of 7 of their products came back, the worst with 183 grams. That's *so much* more than the AHA recs as a daily max. In comparison: Google says their glazed donuts have 12-13 g. Donuts look better, now, huh.
I wish I could take him, but I can't. This is very, very sad.
Six apples in one drink?! Wthh? Your homemade sounds infinitely nicer, though I prefer my own kale cooked. (I make great soup.)
Again, I like apples, but more is not necessarily better. This is a concept many Americans have trouble with. And unfortunately,
their taste buds adjust to fit the menu.
3/ of that from HHS.
2/ happen to be in bed with (as he is with the beef, pork, dairy, & fast food industries). But my point was that this is an idiotic stance for Dems to be taking.
Dunkin Donuts, while offering tasty items, sells fat & sugar; it's in the name. Dems shouldn't argue anti-health positions; we get enough
I think a ton of folks in there choose specialty drinks (and at Starbucks, extra shots in the specialty drinks). Did you see the comment on this post that a large Vanilla Bean Coolatta has 172 grams of sugar? That's a boatload.
I also think Bobby just found an easy target - meaning, one he doesn't
That's why my personal intention is simply not to go. The last time I was at either place was 2018 & 2019. I won't say I haven't made a few batches of donuts at home (I have - like, two or three in 7 years, b/c I *really* wanted some), but no sugar drinks; just decaf/herbal tea with no sugar.
Yikes.
I don't think most folks are going in there for black coffee, btw. And don't forget the donuts that accompany them out, because whatcha' gonna do at Dunkin'?
Incidentally, I don't think I've ever visited a Starbucks without getting a morning bun or chocolate croissant - b/c I was there....
2/ sugar per day & women no more than 25 grams.
There is *so much* that Bobby says that we should take exception to, yet Dems have latched on to the one fight that makes us look like idiots. Incredible.
www.heart.org/en/healthy-l....
Kennedy says he's opposed to these drinks - it's Dems who are arguing back.
This is certainly not the public health hill Democrats should want to die on. It's maybe the one time he's said something legit. The American Heart Association recommends that men consume no more than 36 grams of added...
2/ problem with? *That's* the Bobby business they'll finally object to?
βCome and take it,β said MA's Dem governor, & βWicked bad idea,β said Dem Rep. Neal, who apparently see no issue w/ folks drinking 3 Coke cans' worth of sugar before breakfast.
C*st, pick your battles. Real ones, please. Ffs.
We are not serious people.
So RFK said to Dunkinβ, "Show us the safety data that show that itβs okay for a teenage girl to drink an iced coffee with 115 grams of sugar in it....I donβt think [they'll] be able to do it.β
& that's what folks have a...
