The Canadian federal gov, being in a military spending spree, in part also due to the trump regime, likely won’t complain about higher tax revenue from higher cost oil & gas. Ironically, it will be trump who will want to keep fuel costs down for midterm elections, by pumping reserves into the market

It is also BS for Heather Exner-Pirot, to say: “no one wants to see a $90 or $100 barrel" because Alberta does. The petrol state province is running a budget deficit right now because oil prices have been low & because they have failed to diversify their economy away from global warming for profit.

Bully punches you in the gut, & takes your lunch money. Then the bully says you must come join him & his gang of bullies in a rumble with the bullies at a school across town. Oh &, bully is raising lunch tax so you better bring more lunch money tomorrow or there will be hell to pay. Y’know, “allies”

Senate Republicans just voted to block our War Powers Resolution & allow Trump's regime-change war of choice in Iran. Once again, they're contracting out their constitutional duties to Donald Trump, despite the will of their constituents.

Shameful.

Evangelical lunatics have been dreaming of a “preemptive second coming” forced by the American military since the Iraq war and likely before.
Long before. The service members speaking out to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation are heroes of sanity. Thanks to them for their service!

News: Commanders across dozens of U.S. military bases told troops the war on Iran is part of "God's plan" so Trump can bring about "Armageddon"

News: so Trump can bring about "Armageddon." The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) has been
"inundated" with complaints since the U.S. and Israel launched attacks on Iran over the weekend, receiving more than 110 complaints from U.S. military personnel stationed at dozens of sites across the Middle East.
Journalist Jonathan Larsen broke the story, sharing specific complaints made by troops. One such complaint made by a noncommissioned officer reported that their commander had
"urged us to tell our troops that this was 'all part of God's divine plan' and he specifically referenced numerous citations out of the Book of Revelation referring to Armageddon and the imminent return of Jesus Christ."
"He said that 'President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth," the NCO continued. "He had a big grin on his face when he said all of this which made his message seem even more crazy."

Here we go again, America. We have to give a President another blank check and give him as much as he wants to shoot unlimited $20 million interceptors at $20,000 drones and if we don’t we are unpatriotic so pay up.

This story could win the “scariest warning of an #AI hellscape future that is already here for some” award of the week. #Anthropic has/had “safety” standards. No autonomous weapons & mass surveillance use. US #military didn’t like limits, so I guess we can expect the replacement to be worse.
