Dynamis has seen about a ~1500 to 2000 player spike in the first week of savage and ultimate releases. Even then, you are correct that the surge in visiting players is still a very low percentage compared to the overall population of their home data centers.
In addition to what Den has said, Dynamis has a very low population in general so there will be less players to queue back into the servers in the event of a DDoS attack.
