right, just in case: is anyone here an expert on African oral cultures? or know someone who is?

I am writing a thing. I am relying on some very fascinating anthro work from the 1980s about the problems of introducing writing into Ganda & Nyoro oral cultures. I am worried it is *out of date* tho.

I used to try to avoid posting about politics too much, because I know people followed me for art and comic stuff.

But politics are affecting my ability to exist and create art, so I'm going to keep posting about politics until it gets better.

I know this is a "first world problem," but I wish I was creatively rested enough to pick up a new hobby, especially one that doesn't involve screens or isn't expensive.
