A molecule of CO2 contributes to global warming, but one molecules does not do much: a gazillion of them changes a planet. However, CO2 knows no borders; CO2 from one nation is the same as any other. Never in the history of mankind has such a simple molecule cause such a crisis

Picture how big the Hoover Dam is. An absolute unit. The Hoover Dam has a power capacity of 2 gigawatts (GW).
The solar farm that the Admin just cancelled could have produces 6.2 GW of power. That's more than 3 Hoover Dams.

A new daily record for Mauna Loa CO2 was set yesterday, at 431.25 ppm. The previous daily record was 431.13 ppm, set on April 27th. This marks the highest daily reading since records began being kept in March, 1958.
A few more of these may happen before the month is out.

Not a museum, but I was going to suggest the NASA library in its headquarters, which we accidentally stumbled into last year with the family and the librarians were incredible and chatty and gave us souvenirs... but... I just looked and they've all been laid off and the library closed.
