Great weekend
Got to volunteer at my church’s food pantry and feed 700 people with 12k pounds of food
(Virtually) attended Twin Cities DSA’s convention
Went to a friend’s cabaret fundraiser that happened to be at the same place at the convention
And then today, got to read the Gospel reading!

Physically okay, which matters the most
On my way to Ash Wednesday service, my car slid while slowing to a stop and hit a car at the stop sign. Not hit hard but airbags went off. Was an uber driver with a passenger so took photos and my id and my phone number and left. Not a great start to lent
Tonight I went to my church’s Taize service and after so much awfulness here in Minnesota, it was exactly the cleansing of my soul that I needed heading into Lent next week
For Valentines Day, we are going to a Candlelight vigil for all of the harms done in Minnesota during this invasion, and then going home to watch God’s Own Country which neither of us have seen, while eating some take out

In the face of multiple raids in food shelves in the Twin Cities, my church has dedicated itself to continuing to hold ours this weekend and to find ways to do it in as safe a way as possible to feed as many people as possible
I’m just so glad to get to be a part of this community

We are going on our church’s winter retreat up north next weekend, and the weather is going to be fun for my birthday on Saturday
