Hello, we're Spectrum Gaming! An autistic-led charity, based in the UK. We're on a mission to create a world where autistic young people can reach their true potential π Find out more about us here: https://www.spectrumgaming.net/
Weβd be really grateful if you are able to fill it out, as your thoughts will help us make sure weβre focusing on the right things - as the more we understand whatβs needed, the better we can create training that genuinely improves understanding and support for autistic young people π
Weβre finalising our training schedule for this year and weβd love to have your input!
Weβve made a short survey to find out what training and resources parents, professionals, and young people will find the most helpful from us this year
thanks for sharing this with us Helen :) !

Tips for how to support autistic young people during the festive season π
These suggestions were written with autistic young people in the SG community. It's really important to remember how even small changes can make a huge difference to how much an autistic person is able to enjoy social events
The link to the appeal will be posted next week, once the campaign is live :) !
As a small charity, appeals like this make a huge difference to our work with autistic young people experiencing burnout, social isolation and ill mental health as a result.

Your support helps us continue creating safe, welcoming spaces where autistic young people can be their authentic selves!
It's great to see how the server continues to be a space where creativity thrives and friends are made!
Highlights from our Halloween update included:
π A Halloween makeover of the login hub
π§ββοΈ A Trick or Treat game set around the survival worldβs spawn area
π§ A Halloween-themed Murder Mystery event, with the map now available for young people to enjoy anytime
This Halloween, Spectrum Gaming's Minecraft Build Team worked together to design a series of spooky seasonal updates for our private server! They created immersive, engaging spaces for young people in our community to explore, connect, and have fun.
We're so glad that we've been able to offer something that young people had wanted for a long time and to see how the group is creating opportunities to work together, be creative and make new friends online π
The event is really popular with both age groups in SGβs community, with the teen group constantly talking about the campaign and making plans for the next session.
In the campaign, young people become part of an adventurers organisation called the Spectrotopian Guild (check out the Guildβs coat of arms in the first image!)
Online event spotlight: How Dungeons & Dragons π§ββοΈπ creates opportunities for autistic young people to develop teamwork and creativity, and find new friendships!
2 months ago, one of our Digital Youth Workers launched a new online event: Dungeons and Dragons.
Ah Caroline!! That's really amazing - thank you!!
Thanks so much Caroline :) !!
...this project would not have been possible without all their support π !
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the creation of the Barriers to Education website. Over 1,500 people contributed including young people, parents and carers, professionals across education, health and social care, researchers...
At its heart is the WARMTH Framework, alongside a growing library of tools, strategies and case studies that show whatβs possible when we focus on understanding needs and creating conditions where young people feel safe, valued and able to thrive.
Weβre very excited to share that the Barriers to Education website has officially launched: lnkd.in/e5vmcDaQ
The website has been created to bring parents, carers and professionals together with practical, compassionate approaches that make a real difference.
REMINDER:
CORRELATION β CAUSATION.
Solved it. Autism rates didn't rise because of vaccines, paracetamol or whatever else people are making up at the moment.
The data is crystal clear: the more Marvel movies, the more autism.
Our final Big Meetup Weekend 2025 took place in Manchester a few weeks ago.
Many young people who come to our meetup weekends don't access many other face to face activities, and we are privileged to be able to offer a space where they feel comfortable
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us!
