Common heritage does not equate to immigrant. Which is the point of my initial response.
As someone with a Spanish last name and of Mexican heritage, it is offensive to have the first thought be that I'm not American based on my name.

Wow, you can't claim to be anti-ice then go around and assume that a Spanish last name means they are immigrants. That's a shitty mentality to have.
The whole issue people are facing with ICE is the attitude that non-white faces and names are treated as un-American.
