One of my pet-hates is seeing footballers gesticulating to the fans to make some more noise to show their support. It might be made with the best intention but fans are paying big money to watch mostly tedious games. Also the big fish want fans replaced with customers to simply generate income.

I’ve enjoyed watching Crystal Palace play football under Glasner. For the last 2 or 3 seasons they’ve been a top quality team to watch for a neutral. They sold Guehi, Eze & further back Olise.. 3 superb players yet still competing with the best. Got to give Glasner huge credit.

We’re missing pace & aggression out wide, especially on the left. It’s a crying shame we lost Dorgu with a bad injury.. just when he was breaking through as a top wide man & goalscorer/creator. The lad was full of self-confidence & we have no suitable replacement especially with Amad off the pace.

Didn’t watch the game last night as I expected the worst (and I have sky high blood pressure). If go to the ground & watch live, I’m absolutely fine but tv stresses me out no end. Anyway we’re still 3rd & I have no complaints about Carrick. Still in a dream position considering where Amorim left us.

It’s sunny again & the dog wants to stretch his kegs for a change.. good news for both of us😎

I saw Newcastle play Liverpool with 10 men for over half a game & should’ve beaten them but for a late late goal. They’re a horrible club, horrible team & fans. It’s a ground you don’t want to visit. It’s their biggest game of the season & it’s downhill after they play us.

Nooooooo way!! I predict the worst but pray for the best!!

I saw the full Newcastle Everton game on Saturday & they were poor. I don’t think Howe or the home fans will allow that to happen again. I predicted a 3-1 loss but I’d be delighted with a draw. A one off cup game & we’d get a result but.. I won’t any more😕 Fingers crossed though🤞

I don’t think my blood pressure will allow me to watch the game tonight. I’ll keep up with the score & if we’re winning 2-0 in the 89th minute, I might switch on. Got a horrible feeling about this one but if we get a draw I’ll be delighted.

Got up early today to do a few jobs before the dog minder brought the dog home.. what a nice surprise to see some sunshine.. makes the world seem a better place (for a short time)

Newcastle away tonight and Id be extremely happy with a point. If this was a one-off must win cup tie, I’d fancy our chances but we need to be at our peak to beat them away from home. They were poor v Everton in the last game & lost 2-3 so Howe will be looking for improvement..I think 3-1 home win😕

Makes you wonder if he had an impact on young Morrissey as both had similar off the wall vocals🤔

I’m exactly the same! Whenever there’s just a single goal between the teams I’m a nervous wreck.. whoever we’re playing. Palace can compete with the best even with 10 men.

Why am I more nervous at 2-1 up playing against 10 men than I was at 0-1? I’ve got the United trauma, I guess.

Amad hasn’t been playing well recently but he’s always a threat with his pace & dribbling. He’s the only United player atm who can take defenders on & get crosses in.

I’m concentrating on my son’s game for now but looking out for that SESKoooo post..

No Amad & no Dorgu means absolutely no pace down either wing.. and no crosses to Sesko.

There is a negative side to playing so infrequently in that the players are rusty & not properly match-fit.
